Quantum Charging

Image: Institute for Basic Science

Researchers at the Center for Theoretical Physics of Complex Systems within the Institute for Basic Science in South Korea have published research on how to leverage quantum entanglement to speed up the charging time of battery cells, such as those in electric vehicle batteries. Using global operation quantum charging, all cells are charged at the same time, which could slash the charging time of an EV battery to seconds.

Dyson Air Purifier Headphones

Dyson are planning to launch a set of noise-cancelling headphone that have a built-in air purifier. The Zone device scoops in air from the exterior of the ear cups, purifies it and squirts jets of clean air into the wearer's nose and mouth through the front of the device. (This looks legitimate, but there's a small chance this is an April Fool's joke).
